Day 1. Lima (-)
Welcome to Lima, the 'City of Kings'. Upon arrival you will be met at the airport and privately escorted to your hotel.
Day 2. Lima (B)
Your morning sightseeing tour explores Miraflores and San Isidro, the modern districts of Lima and its historic center, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The tour includes a visit of San Francisco, the citys most visited church (1674). Its underground tunnels lead to catacombs that served as cemetery until 1808 and still contain bones and skulls. Our next stop is the Gold Museum displaying thousands of gold artifacts from the pre-Inca time as well as jewelry, ceramics, mummies and textiles. Also included is a visit to the 'Weapons of the World' museum in the same building, a collection dating back to the 1500s.
Day 3. Lima - Arequipa (B)
At proper time transfer to the airport to board you flight. Arrival and privately escorted to your hotel.
Day 4. Arequipa (B)
In the afternoon you will explore the city. Some of the old buildings were made out of white volcanic material (sillar) which has given Arequipa the name of the 'white city'. The tour continues with the visit to the extraordinary Santa Catalina Convent. This cloister, built in the 16th century, is a huge complex of buildings that once served as a town within itself housing 450 nuns. Traditionally the oldest daughters of Arequipas aristocratic families entered the convent in their early teens and spent their lives there, cloistered away.
The convent complex has been beautifully refurbished, bringing the past vividly alive once more. Finally, you head to the Yanahuara viewpoint for a magnificent view of the Misti Volcano and the city.
Day 5. Arequipa - Cusco (B)
At proper time transfer to the airport to board you flight. Arrival and privately escorted to your hotel. This afternoon we visit the major sites of interest in Cusco. The tour starts with Sacsayhuaman, a hilltop fortress that overlooks the city of Cusco. The largest stones used in its construction are nearly 8.5 m (28 ft) high and weigh 360 tons, fitting so perfectly together that a single piece of paper would not fit between two stones. Then we are driven to Qenqo, the temple dedicated to Mother Earth (pacha mama). Once back in the city of Cusco we visit the Koricancha or Temple of the Sun, a fine example of the fusion of Inca and colonial architecture. Just within walking distance in the city we will enter the cathedral with its magnificently carved woodwork, ornate altar and many hundreds of canvases from the 17th-century Cusco Painting School.
Day 6. Cusco - Machu Picchu - Cusco (B)
Morning transfer to Poroy train station (approx. 20-min drive from Cusco). A 3-hour train ride takes you through the Sacred Valley of the Incas up to Machu Picchu. On arrival a small coach takes you up the steep roads to the entrance of the citadel. Machu Picchu remained for centuries undiscovered by the Spaniards, only to be found in 1911 by Hiram Bingham. The uniqueness of its location and the genius that went into its construction make this Inca archaeological site truly one of the great wonders of the world. After the guided excursion you will return to Poroy station, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Cusco.
Day 7. Cusco - Caracas (Via Lima) (B)
At proper time transfer to the Airport to board your international flight. Flight Lima-Caracas. Arrival to Caracas. Assistance at the airport. Transfer to the Hotel. Overnight in Caracas.
Day 8. Caracas (B)
Panoramic tour by the major interest places of this Caribbean Metropolis. Discovery of the historical part of the city visiting all major points of interest: The Yellow House, the Municipal
Council, Simon Bolivar Birthplace, the Bolivar Square and the Cathedral. Excursion to Caracas’ cable car. Enjoy the splendorous view of the capital from the Avila Mountain. Have a close look of the Humboldt Hotel. An architectural structure built on the highest point of the Mountain. Admire the view of the Caribbean Sea and “Galipan”, a little town located between Caracas and La Guaira. From this point, the altitude is approximately 2.850 mts. Return to the Hotel.
Day 9. Caracas Mérida: The Tropical Andes (B)
Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Mérida, the capital of the Venezuelan Andes. On your way flying over the mountains enjoy the picturesque view at the Andes surroundings, the little colonial towns and lakes. Discover its historical and colonial villages, perfectly hidden between mountains, each standing as the last proof of an ancient way of living. Inhabitants, always warmth and friendly people are more than willing to give the visitors a small piece of the Andean's flavor. Transfer to the Posada or Hotel. Overnight.
Day 10. Mérida: The Tropical Andes (B)
Free time to enjoy the different options Mérida has to offer to you. Overnight.
Day 11. Mérida-Canaima (Via Puerto Ordaz) (B-D)
Transfer to the airport. Flight El Vigia-Puerto Ordaz (via Caracas) and then take the connection charter flight to the wonderful Canaima National Park, home of the Angel Falls, the highest in the world, and of more than 80 beautiful waterfalls. Arrival to Canaima. Assistance at the airstrip. Transfer to the Lodge. Overnight.
Day 12. The Wonderful Canaima National Park (BLD)
Time to explore in the jungle and return to Canaima Camp. We will cross the Canaima lagoon in Indian canoes conducted by Indians. We pass the Ucaima, Golondrina and Hacha waterfalls that fall spectacularly into the lagoon. We take a short walk through the light tropical forest and savannah to the base of the Sapo waterfalls. Here we have time for a short bath in the refreshing waters. We continue the excursion walking behind the curtain of water (some 200 meters) that descends from the dashing Carrao River. Climbing to the top of the falls, we have an excellent view of the savannahs surroundings tropical forest and the tepuys: unexplored majestic and prehistoric tabletop mountains considered the oldest rocks formations of our planet. We return to the Camp facing the Hacha waterfalls and the pink sandy beach of Canaima Lagoon. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 13. Canaima - Los Roques Archipelago (By Caracas) (B-D)
Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Los Roques. Charter flight to the heavenly Coral Archipelago Los Roques, one of the largest marine national parks in the Caribbean. Transfer to the lodge and accommodation.
Days 14-15. Los Roques Archipelago (BLD)
Free days to enjoy this paradise. You will board a motor boat to take a short excursion
around the little keys of the Archipelago. Enjoy a good day sun bathing on these exceptionally white sandy beaches and crystalline warm waters. Cold drinks will be arrange on your box lunch. Beach umbrellas and beach chairs, snorkeling masks will be provided. Return to El Gran Roque. Time to explore de little village or walk at the seaside shore. Overnights.
Day 16. Los Roques Archipelago - Caracas - La Habana (BLD)
Time to enjoy the last beach hours in Los Roques. Flight to Caracas. Connection flight to La Habana. Assistance at the airport. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner and Overnight.
Day 17. La Habana (BLD)
Breakfast. Visit the Morro Cabaña viewpoint. Walking tour of the historic center of Old Habana, Cultural Heritage of Humanity: the Plaza de Armas.Tour of the Oficios Street till the Plaza de San Francisco de Asis. Visit the Rum Museum to see the manufacturing process of Havana Club rum. Invitation to taste and continuation to the Plaza Vieja.Return to the Mercaderes Street to the Hotel Ambos Mundos, where the American writer Ernest Hemingway lived and visit the Cathedral Square. Visit the bar-restaurant “La Bodeguita del Medio” and take a panoramic tour of the Museum of the Revolution, Central Park, Great Theater of Havana, National Capitol. Continuation of the tour of Modern Havana: The Malecon Habanero. Take the lunch in the city. Then visit the Plaza of the Revolution, the University Hill. At the end of the afternoon return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 18. Viñales (BLD)
Breakfast. Departure to Viñales Valley in Pinar del Rio, the western province of Cuba where grows the best tobacco in the world. View of exotic landscapes with valleys with royal palms, the national tree of Cuba. Visit to Tobacco Factory in Candelaria. Continuation to the trip to Viñales. Visit to the Farm "Paradise" where you can meet the lifestyle and the local tobacco culture their hospitality and simplicity. Visit the Indian Cave by boat ride on an underground river. Lunch at a local restaurant. Visit the Mural of Prehistory, where you can see ancient rock paintings. Stop at the Mirador de Los Jazmines to appreciate the Viñales Valley in all its splendor. At the end of the afternoon return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 19. Guama - Cienfuegos - Trinidad (BLD)
Breakfast. Departure for Cienfuegos transit visit to the Farm "Fiesta Campesina", first contact with the flora and fauna of the Zapata Peninsula. The trip continues with a visit to the resort of Guamá with crocodile farm. Lunch at local restaurant.Continue the trip to Cienfuegos. Tour of the main streets and avenues of the city the only place founded by the French and set in a wonderful bay protected by the Castillo de Jagua. The French lineage of Cienfuegos gives it a really distinctive: perfect symmetry in its urban layout, neoclassical buildings and a long walking street: Marti Park Tour, Del Valle Palace, Terry Thomas Theater, House of Cultural Property, Cathedral Immaculate Conception, Continue the trip to Trinidad. Visit to the Parish Church of the Holy Trinity, with its luxurious altar decorated with precious gods and images from 300 years ago. Visit to the Plaza Mayor.Visit the Palace of Count Brunet the actual Romantic Museum.Visit to the bar and enjoy the cocktail Canchánchara the same name. Lunch at local restaurant.
