Day 5. Barlovento
Visit to the National Park of Guatopo and more cacao (cocoa) plantations.

Day 6. Río Chico
Visit the Conception Hacienda (Farm) and the Industry of Cocoa.

Day 7. Paria Peninsula
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Carúpano, at the north eastern part of Venezuela. Arrival and transfer to the farm (hacienda), where accommodation will be provided. Lunch. Meeting with CAPEC (Professionals of the Cacao). The afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the beautiful beaches of the Peninsula. Dinner and overnight.

Day 8. Caracas
Return to Caracas. Visit the city and the cable car. Typical lunch. Farewell dinner in a colonial house in Caracas.

Day 9. Caracas
Transfer to the airport to take the flight back home.

The different varieties of Venezuelan cocoa are amongst the most aromatic and well-flavored of the world. In each of the areas in which the Venezuelan cocoa is grown, both the genetic characteristics of the bean and the particular care given in the local handling during its growth and recollection, originate the very distinct quality for which the bean is so well-known. All the process represents and interesting subject of study to those amateurs and experts in the elaboration of chocolate.
Day 1. Caracas

Arrival to Maiquetia International Airport, located alongside the seashore. The city is placed at the base of the Avila Mountain at 950 meters of altitude with a light tropical weather through all the year. Assistance and 45-minute transfer to your hotel.

Day 2. Caracas
Breakfast. Panoramic visit of Caracas. Meeting with the Association of Cacao producers and Chocolates El Rey. Return to your hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3. Choroní
Departure by land to Maracay. Short visit to the Ministry of Technology. Departure to Choroní. Cross the Henry Pittier Park. Visit a Cacao Hacienda (farm).

Day 4. Chuao
Excursion to Chuao, historic site and home of the Cacao culture in Venezuela. Discovery of the elaboration of chocolate with the traditional methods. Lunch will be provided in this little town. Visit to a cocoa plantation. Dinner with Afro-American music.
